A super-premium London Dry Gin, made in London in pot stills, using spring water from Cartmel in the Lake District, it is made with a variety of botanicals, including the quintessential juniper, and the wonderfully English borage and sage. With three citrus peels, coriander and angelica plus spring water naturally filtered through ancient willow-peat - Gilpin's Gin has a sophisticated, unique and extra dry taste. Nose: Big and juniper led with citrus, sage leaves and coriander seeds all coming through. Palate: Dry. Slightly oily too, with bitter orange and earthy notes. Strong juniper once again. Finish: Quite bitter with angelica. Overall: Gilpin's gin knows what it's setting out to achieve and then does it. An impressive extra dry gin. Named World's Best Gin at the World Gin Awards 2014.
