Liqueurs are sweet alcoholic drinks often flavoured with herbs, spices, flowers, fruits, seeds, roots, barks and sometimes cream. The word liqueur is taken from the Latin "liquifacere" meaning dissolve, which refers to the dissolving of the flavourings in the liqueur.
