Wines White » Argentina
Blessed with a diversity of varietals due to mass immigration from Europe, predominately Spain and Italy, Argentina spent years producing wine but never exporting. Revival in the early 1990's saw the country undergo a shift in consumption and it started expanding through exportation. Malbec has traditionally been the go- to varietal for fans of Argentine wines, but various other varietals mature quite well there including: Torrontes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda and Sangiovese. Such unpredictable weather conditions and relatively young soil creates intense flavour profiles for these wines, as they are often juicy, ripe and loaded with full, fresh fruit flavours
