Straffe Hendrik an authentic Belgian Triple beer, back to been brewed to the original recipe at the De Halve Maan Brewery, Bruges. Straffe Hendrik is a golden, lively beer with a bubbly head that is short-lived but leaves lacework down the side of the glass. Nose is subtle - lemons, with a gentle spicy hint of coriander. In the mouth it is lively and foamy. Bitter-sweet light malt flavours combine with cloves and coriander, grapefruit, limes and oranges. Finish is fruity and tangy, with a slightly rough alcohol edge, leaving a warm, lemon and coriander aftertaste. Although perhaps stronger-tasting than some Belgian beers of this strength, this is a very enjoyable beer with enough complexity to keep you interested
