(Weissebier) Erdinger Urweisse 50cl

The recipe for Urweisse dates back to the brewery's founding days over 120 years ago. It owes its distinctive, traditional weissbier flavour to a special malt, a different hop variety and a special yeast. A cloudy copper-orange beer with good head. The aroma mixes banana, cinnamon and musk, much like the ordinary Erdinger Hefeweizen. The taste is initially moderately bitter, with a hint of cinnamon, moving into a sweet banana finish. A creamy and dense beer with wheat and milk flavour, deep and smooth, fruity and cereal like, a spicy finish which is dry and short, some fresh burnt bread. A good beer quite complex with a very interesting texture, should just have more body, but on the other hand the delicious palate and refreshing taste makes for a very drinkable beer very nice and smooth.
