Hatozaki Blended Whisky 70cl

Named after the oldest stone lighthouse in Japan, Hatozaki blended whisky is made at Kaikyo distillery. Matured in a variety of casks, including sherry, bourbon and Mizunara oak it has a complex character, with notes of cherry blossom, pears and caramel throughout the palate. The Kaikyo distillery produces two distinctly different sets of whiskies. Our Hatozaki whiskies are all blended from our maturing barrel stocks lying in our Akashi warehouses. These whiskies both Japanese distilled and imported malts and grain whiskies, vary in age, style and barrel type. Hatozaki Blended Whisky is a premium blend of whiskies, aged up to 12 years in a barrel with a minimum malt content of content of 40%. We always use our ageing stocks at there finest, so each batch may contain a different proportion of each individual whisky at a different age. It is light in style with a rich backbone of malt whisky character. Cereal notes and a light sweetness on the finish.
