Created by The Hebridean Liqueur Company, the inspiration for Ancient Mariner Gin came from Coleridge's masterpiece about the terrifying space of the open ocean, and the storms and whirlpools of an unknown sea. It is one of Scotland's strongest gins at 50% ABV, and has a dry profile with juniper and citrus flavours. A perfect gift for sailors everywhere, the bottle is a cube shape to prevent spillage at sea. Recommended serve is tonic water with chopped rocket lettuce. Nose: Herbal nose with tangy fresh juniper and hints of oily spices. Palate: Earthy juniper delivery. Dry and crisp, with a good interplay between the other botanicals. Hints of citrus develop. Finish: Peppery finish. Quite oily.
