Clear, dark golden Ale with a minimal white head, more of a rim of bubbles. The aroma has a nice fruitiness, with balancing maltiness, and notes of caramel. Taste is smooth, moderate malts and quite sweet, background. The initial maltiness leads to a gentle fruitiness lingering on into some herbal hops. Nice, balanced flavour, with fruity hops, malt and caramel. Medium, and a mildly bitter dry herbal and quite fruity finish. A very quaffable beer Tasty easy drinking well balanced beer. Rudgate is a small traditional brewer using the finest raw materials.Local Water, Locally sourced malts, The finest whole hops and our own strain of Yorkshire Brewing Yeast
