Samuel Smiths Organic Best Ale 55cl

Sam Smiths Organic Best Ale is quite hoppy, with some lemony fruit notes and a little bready malt on the nose. The palate is also pleasantly hoppy and slightly lemony, the character implying dry hopping - clear hop flower notes are present. The malt and hops balance one another nicely; this is a pale ale with hop dominance, but not quite hoppy enough to be called an IPA. Aftertaste is lastingly bitter - the hops almost mask some very light chocolatey notes right at the finish. This is definitely an improvement on many organic beers, and well worth trying out as a session beer. Suitable for Vegans too.
