Sheeps Eye Gin 70cl

A small batch, craft distillery, based in North Yorkshire. We create a range of uniquely flavoured gin, through infusing natural herbs and ingredients to create artisan craft spirits. We make our gin and other spirits in small-batches, before bottling them and labelling by hand. The plague doctors over at the Licker Mill use 10 botanicals including juniper, celery seed, black pepper and thyme, infusing them in spirit before redistilling. For a gin and tonic, they suggest a lime wedge garnish. Nose: Quite sweet and floral - they have a hibiscus vibe, is there some in here? - working well with the juniper. Palate: More juniper (this is a proper gin), citrus, cinnamon and honey, with cracked black pepper developing. Finish: Crisp and refreshing with some peppery warmth lingering.
