Wharfebank Yorkshire Stout 50cl

Wharfebank Stout is an Irish-style stout with powerful roasted flavours. It pours an intense dark brown to black, with a very pale, fine-bubbled head. Nose is of dark malt and roasted barley, with a generous helping of medium-roast coffee. In the mouth it is very smooth and dry, with a dark-malt bitterness apparent from the start, along with roast coffee, dark chocolate and some lighter red fruit notes. Towards the finish a smooth creaminess counteracts the rich dryness, although chocolate and mocha coffee notes are still very much in evidence. Finish is of gentle, roast-malt bitterness and creamy coffee. plenty of depth and complexity.
