Japan Hitachino Nest White Ale 33cl

The beer pours with a soft and glowing hazy yellow-orange hue, and is topped by a small white head. The nose is just wonderful, with notes of coriander, orange juice, mango, and a lightly acidic grapefruit-like citrus. The taste simply fantastic, highly articulated flavours of orange, coriander, nutmeg, ginger, lemon merengue, and citrusy coriander exist in perfect balance. A spice tinged firm and dry malt base that exuded a refreshing acidity. This increased in strength through the finish, which left lingering robust flavours of bitter orange, ginger, black peppercorn, nutmeg, grapefruit, and coriander. A lovely interplay of the acidity with the spicey accents. The body was excellently composed for the flavours, as was the vigorous carbonation.
