Naylors Vintage Old Ale 50cl

An extra long maturation period before being bottled makes this a very smooth beer with sweet maltiness, balanced by subtle bitterness. Strong but easy drinking. Pours Amber brown with an off-white head. Aromas are toffee and golden syrup with light floral and medicinal notes. Plummy fruitiness with citrus peppery alcohol. Flavours are sweet toffee and weetabix malts with mellow lemon and herbal notes. Smooth on the palate with a peppery finish. Good alcohol notes throughout and a smooth big body, creamy carbonation. Light sweet finish, faint wood, wet malts, very light must, toasty sugar. A bit of sherry in the mouth. Really nice.
