Durham Bedes Chalice Ale 50cl

Durham Bedes Chalice Ale is a deep golden Barley wine, it pours a fairly clear golden orange with a big frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, light ginger, oranges, biscuits and grassy hops. Super soft and chewy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, vinious, light spicy, and a terrific amount of sweet toffee caramel. A touch of grassy and flowery hops at the end. The high gravity requires large quantities of malt which give a very full mouthfeel. The sweetish malt gives way to cinder toffee and navel oranges. A single hop, centennial, is used for a clean, characterful bitterness and floral aroma.
