(Eastern Highland) Glencadam 10 year old 70cl

The Glencadam distillery is said to have been founded in the year 1825. Nose: Medium-bodied and slightly floral but with a rich malty core. Water reveals a buttery richness with honeyed fruits, hot cross buns and spices. Palate: A dry-ish start with light spice and nut, then citrus oils, hazelnut and an overall pleasant texture. Well balanced. Smooth, silky and creamy. A caress of mingled flavours. All nose promises are delivered. Finish: Dry with a touch of smoke. Comment: Attractive rather than complex, but very attractive at that Graceful and characterful. To be sipped on a midsummer starlit night. A true dancing dram.
