Daleside Monkey Wrench Ale 50cl

Daleside Monkey Wrench Ale is the bottled version of an award-winning cask ale from the Daleside Brewery. It pours a rich dark brown colour with a brownish-white, bubbly but tenacious head. The aroma consists of malt and floral hops with a nutty element and the faintest estery hint. On the palate it is quite bitter and hoppy, again with an aromatic, floral slant. This is balanced by rich fruity malt, with distinct banana and hazelnut and some underlying dark fruit notes. The bitter maltiness coats the palate somewhat, giving the beer a rich character that lingers to the finish, but with enough balancing hop character to leave you wanting more. A top-notch, complex strong ale.
