Dark and rich with robust roast maltiness beautifully complimented with the flavours of blackcurrant. Pours a deep brown colour, small light brown head, very nice lace. Flavours are good, of course coffee and chocolate and nice roasted malt bitterness. Slightly rummy fruitiness. Vinous and malty with mollasses and herbal notes. The smoothness continues into the finish, which become more dark in the latter stages. Quite complex with malty with notes of currants and raisins, turning into a nice bitter finish with an earthy hop character, slight notes of citrus as well. Mmm! Complex! Nice. Quite sweet. Decent stuff.
