North Yorkshire Red Kjarr 50cl

A deep ruby red ale with a fruity hop character balanced by a blend of caramel and toasted malts. Pours a clear medium to light amber colour with an average, frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, toasted, berry notes, light sweet malts with apples and pears. Some spices with sweet earthy hops. Toast and hints of crystal malt. Flavours are sweet and sour apple with some caramel malts. Malty, slightly fruity taste with toasty malt, bread, dried fruit and a fairly dry finish with a mild bitterness. Well balanced, a little dry with a lingering chewy caramel flavour. Finishes with mild, bready malts and some herbal, earthy hops. Decent.
