North Yorkshire White Lady 50cl

Pours a hazy pale honey colour with good carbonation and plentiful sediment. Forms a huge head of creamy white foam to thick surface layer. Aroma of light malt with a dominant yeasty character; dry and earthy, a faint whiff of hops. Tastes of light malt with a notes of tart yeast esters. Little bitterness to speak of, and a very subtle citrus in the background. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, but with a dry, powdery sensation. Coats the palate. Aftertaste of earthy, doughy yeast. The name originates from the tale of a ghostly milkmaid who is sometimes seen in the courtyard of Pinchinthorpe hall, where the brewery is located.
