North Yorkshire Flying Herbit 50cl

Breweries 'Flagship Ale', first brewed 29 yrs ago! Smooth, full flavoured premium bitter, with marmalade notes and lasting malty finish. Pours slightly hazy orange, off white head which recedes to small bubbles which cling to the glass. Attractive bready malt, Caramel and apple yeastiness, banana and clove aroma. Roasty flavours of coffee, chocolate and dark fruits. Clean nutty malts, fresh yeasty character, green apple. Definitely some Some heffe-like wheat, clove and banana bobbing about. A bit lighter on the palate than I expected, but packed with fruit, spice again, and sweet malt, a fairly complex mouthful, and quite satisfying. Dusty hop resins give an earthy flavour to the short aftertaste. An unexpectedly cheeky little effort with yeasty dunkel weizen leanings.
