USA Flying Dog Pale Ale 35.5cl

Flying Dog Doggie Style Pale Ale pours a copper amber colour with a thick frothy foam that leaves some decent lacing. Nice aroma of citrus/pine hops and an easily detectable sweet malt scent in the background, just to tell you its a beer and not a hop perfume. Taste has a full hop bitterness initially with grapefruit and pine flavours. The malt backbone shines through the citrus and pine of the hops with a light caramel flavour accented throughout by the hops. Some sweet malt flavours as well as a hint of a roasted finish make for a nice balance. This has a really great mouthfeel, incredibly smooth with a tight bitter finish. This has the smoothness of a good lager not to dry and not too sweet, A solid pale ale that has everything it should. Simple and straightforward; balanced. An all-around solid beer to enjoy
