The guys from Little Creatures brewed some of Australias great beers under the matilda bay/redback name before CUB bought them out, and now they are back with a brew that represents everything aussie beers should be about. impossible not to like this beer. Cloudy deep golden colour with a soft, crisp white head. the colour seems to change in hue as you look down the glass and the retention is perfect. The aroma is wild! like a fruit salad, theres orange, grapefruit, lemon, passionfuit and i even detected a bit of mango in there and floral hoppy scents. spectaclar! the flavour resembles the same. with wonderful subtle malt undertones that is always present but merely there in a supporting role to the complex fruity tastes. The hop bitterness gives a real bite that gives an initially dry finish which subsides into a smooth semi sweet and once again fruity finish. Little Creatures goes down a treat, especially in hot weather. no better beer for a barbie, or just having a couple while kicking back on the beach or by the pool.
