(Weissebier) Weihenstephan Hefe Weissbier 50cl

Weihenstephan Hefe Weissbier pours with a huge rocky white head, with sticky lacing over a cloudy orange body, and with very fine bubbles. Lots of complexity in the aroma, with plenty of peppery spicyness and a hint of citrus behind a malted wheat warmth. Not as much banana ester as I expected, This has a heavier "richer" flavour than most Weissbiers, with a bit more malt and sweetness. Very pleasant, as if it's pushing the edge of the style. Long warm finish, with a dry even slightly bitter after-note. Quite pleasant and surprising. Mouthfeel is also a bit thicker and rounder than most, that accounts for the huge head and sticky lacing. Very drinkable. Goes down easy, and not overmuch carbonation. From the worlds oldest brewery
