Black Sheep Monty Pythons Holy Ale is from the Black Sheep Brewery set up by Paul Theakston, who left the family Theakston brewery when it was taken over by Scottish & Newcastle; hence the name. Monty Pythons Holy Ale pours a light golden colour with a large, well lasting head with moderate lace. The nose is predominantly malt, with a bit of fruit and a slight nuttiness. Monty Pythons Holy Ale has a well balanced hops and malt, with a slight fruity taste and a lasting sweetness, (oranges and some toffee), The flavour brings out more of the lemon and herb hops in the aftertaste and more mellow malts up front, it has sufficient malts and a pleasant hoppiness that lasts through the long aftertaste.
