Carib Lager is the most popular beer in Trinidad and Tobago, and dates from the 1950's. Carib pours golden yellow and settles to a crystal clear yellow hue. It also boasts a thin, long-lasting white head. The aroma is sweet and a bit like toast with just a hint of heavily-sweetened water. Medium-bodied, smooth and creamy on the palate. Strong and rich, more than expected from its light colour. It has many, yummy, malt-liqueur qualities. Nice, refreshing build-up of a lemon/lime hop flavour, with a sting of bitterness, buffered by an awakening carbonation; alcohol presence is more than noticeable. Carib's finish is simple, clean, and wet. It leaves the tongue with a granola and citrus flavour combination. Quite refreshing. "Great beer...creamy with a great flavour...wonderful!!"
