Maximie Trijol XO is the crowning achievement of Jean-Jacques Trijol; family head of one of the last independent estates to grow, distil, age and sell their own cognac. It is deep gold in colour, with a full-bodied nose of aromatic richness, hints of liquorice and touches of vanilla and cedar wood. The complex bouquet makes this a truly accomplished cognac. Full in the mouth, Spicy notes now flatter the palate, backed by the lingering memory of floral touches, mellow and opulent with orange blossom, honey, dried fruit, spicy oak and a little rancio creeping in. The finish is soft, layered and long.
