Hoxton Gin is made by trendy east-London brewer Gerry Calabrese who adds distillates of tarragon, iris, grapefruit and, unusually, coconut to give a fruity, tropically-flavoured drink. But it comes with a Grapefruit and Coconut Warning: two unusual ingredients that make it probably the most refreshing gin in the universe. The base is premium summer wheat grain spirit; botanicals are infused - steeped in spirit - then copper pot distilled. The final two botanicals - fresh natural coconut and grapefruit - are then steeped, before slow reduction to optimum strength 43% before filtration
