Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Whisky 70cl

An interesting twist on Woodford Reserve's classic straight bourbon. The whiskey is first matured in new charred white oak barrels, as usual, but before bottling is transferred to special heavily toasted, lightly charred finishing barrel. This gives it quite a different flavour to normal, with lots of spicy oak coming through on the palate. Nose, Rich notes of dark fruit, caramel, sharp honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak. Palate, A full-bodied mix of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit and spices. Finish, Long and creamy with lingering hints of honeyed apple. This bourbon has rich, long and enjoyably sweet taste - the perfect companion for rainy winter nights.
