Portugal Sagres Lager 33cl

Sagres Lager pours a pale yellow blonde with a bright white head that leaves some lace around the glass. The aroma is light, but offers some fruitiness above a hoppy malt. The body is medium with a gentle carbonation. It has a presence in the mouth, quite full, creamy, and smooth. The flavour is reflective of the aroma, but it's a bit fuller. The fruitiness is still present; most noticeable on the front of the tongue. The maltiness is more solid than expected, it's well entwined with bitterness, and even a bit of hop flavour. The finish is short and dry. The most interesting thing about this beer is the fruitiness and yet it's kind of generic. Somewhat apple-ish, somewhat like summer fruit - maybe strawberry, but too subtle to reveal any specific character.
