(Mull) Ledaig 10 year old Malt Whisky 70cl

Ledaig 10 year old Malt Whisky was released in June 2008, (pronounced "Led-chig") this 10 year old is from from Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull. An idyllic balance of Peat, smoke and wood, this is an on-going bottling that effectively replaces the out-going Sherry Finish bottling. Colour: A bright lemony gold. Nose: Immediately pungent with sweet tar and creosote aromas that release wood smoked fragrances with hints of liquorice. Further intrigue develops from soft antiseptic hints and charred leather. Palate: Sweet yet medicinal flavours release sparks that lead to an explosion of spicy pepper. The omnipresence of smoke subtly boasts savoury salt maltiness. Finish: Liquorice and cloves combine into a medium length smoked pepper finale.
