"Nearer to Newcastle than Tadcaster" An old classic tweaked to be fuller bodied, with hugely satisfying results. Alnwick Brown Ale is brewed in the tradition of historic Tyne and Wear brown ales. Pours a beautiful deep reddish-brown, a bubbly pale cream colour head. Nose is dark fruits, nutty, biscuit malt, raisens. The flavour is complex with hints of dried fruit, and a lovely hop balance. A light, semi dry and with good fine carbonation. Light but rich malts, unsweet toffee, trace of nuts. Bitterish dried fruits and with caramel and toffee hits. Light dry finish,
