The Antiquary 12yr Whisky. Nose: Clean and initally dry nose which sweetens up in time: vanilla/butter, light spice, Faintly peaty, herbal. Chinese tea. Jasmine, and cereal. Palate: Fairly dry start: spicy and nutty with lemon-accented fruit then a creamy soft centre. A lovely medium-rich rich nuttiness. Evolves well. Then sweeter flavours develop. Darjeeling? Eventually, a honeyish sweetness. Finish: Soft with a spicy tingle Elegant.
