Auchentoshan Three Woods Malt Whisky 70cl

Auchentoshan Three Woods Malt Whisky has been matured in three diffrent cask types. American Bourbon, Spanish Oloroso Sherry and finally Pedro Ximenez Sherry Casks, producing a rich complex whisky. Colour - Full, deep gold. Nose - Orange zest, date boxes, cedar, oil. Body - Light to medium, very smooth indeed. Palate - incredible toffee and sherry oak flavours, citrussy, orange peel, lightly spicy, with lots of flavor development. Full of subtleties. Oak character. Fresh with no obtrusive woodiness. Finish - Cedar, Vanilla, beautifully rounded and aromatic. Hardly an example of a lowland malt but in a recent blind tasting I aplauded its depth of character
