Loch Lomond Malt Whisky, the distillery also produces two other single malts: Inchmurrin and Old Roshdhu. Nose: Freshly-made toast. Brandy snap. A sprig of mint and a dash of Pine Tree combine with soft oak. Palate: Slightly dry, malty start and soft mid-palate with a surge of rich malt. Candy-floss (cotton-candy). Powdered sugar. Turkish delight. Pistachio nuts. Banana. Finish: sugared almonds and toast combine with the softest hinty of cocoa. Light but long. Lemony balancing dryness the highlight of the experience. Comment: Very sweet. Definitely a dessert whisky
