Requirements for Customers
Customers must be aged 18 years or older to buy from Drinkswell.co.uk and must provide proof of age if requested. Orders will not be accepted from anyone under 18. Please be aware that attempting to purchase alcohol if you are under 18 is a criminal offence. You will require a valid email address so that we can confirm your order.
Drinkswell.co.uk operates within the standard off licence laws and therefore we only process orders during the following hours:
Monday to Saturday 10.00 – 6.00
Sunday 12.00 – 4.00
Orders received outside these times will be processed in the following day. Drinkswell.co.uk will acknowledge your order via email.
We reserve the right to change prices without notice. Prices shown on the site are subject to change in line with market values and currency fluctuations. All prices shown include VAT at the prevailing rate.
Payment and Data Protection
Orders must be accompanied by either details of a valid credit or debit card.
Drinkswell.co.uk conforms to the UK Data Protection Act. Any information you provide is treated in strict confidence and is stored in a secure location.Customer details will not be disclosed in any way to any persons outside Drinkswell.co.uk.
Product Specification and Availability
We make every effort to supply the goods as shown on the website, however we reserve the right to supply goods of equal or superior quality at no extra cost, where a valid substitute is available. This condition applies to mixed cases only where one or more products from a mixed case may be unavailable.
Although we will endeavour to maintain to supply you with the item requested, sometimes we may be unable to fulfil an order. In this instance, you will be informed at the earliest opportunity. Product images displayed on the website may occasionally differ from the respective product names and descriptions due to changes in packaging and/or availability.
Standard delivery to most UK mainland addresses is normally within 3 - 5 working days of the order being received, subject to stock availability and credit/debit card processing. Standard delivery charge is £7.95 for one parcel up to 18kg (for example this could be a single bottle, 20 small bottles or maybe 12 larger bottles depending the product). If your order goes over 18kg an additional charge of £7.95 will be made for each additional parcel we send. We will advise you if your order goes over the maximum weight before adding on the additional charge. Delivery to more remote areas of the UK may take longer and incur a surcharge. If you have a deadline for delivery please advise us at the time of ordering and please include a contact number so we can inform you if there is a problem. Next day delivery is available only on orders received before midday at an additional cost. There is an extra charge for delivery to the Scottish Highlands, Scottish Offshore Islands, Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland, Channel Islands and the Isle of White. Please contact us by email or phone with any enquiries prior to placing your order.
Any time or date given for delivery is an estimate only. Although we will make every effort to ensure delivery times are met, we do not accept liability for failure to deliver within the stated time.
Important Delivery Information
Our courier company attempts delivery twice if necessary and leaves a contact card if the recipient is not in. If the recipient does not then call their local depot, the parcel is returned to us after a week – the cost of which will be passed on to the customer. If the parcel is returned to us and you do not wish us to re-send it, only the cost of the product minus the initial delivery charge and the return charge will be refunded. To re-send the parcel after this will incur a further delivery charge. Therefore we strongly advise all customers to:
- use a work address for delivery where possible (as the cost of returning a parcel will be charged at cost to the customer).
- Leave an instruction at the time of ordering for the parcel to be left with a neighbour.
- Contact the local depot as soon as the card arrives.
- We strongly advise against leaving goods without a signature. We will not be liable for any losses incurred in this way.
If Drinkswell.co.uk has accepted an order from you (acceptance will be communicated via an email on receipt of your order), and you wish to withdraw from the contract, you may do so by communicating that wish to us within 24 hours of our acceptance. If you have already received the goods and they are unwanted, you must return the goods to us at your own cost and risk. It is imperative that you contact us within 5 days of receipt of goods. Provided the goods are returned in the same condition as we supplied then to you, we shall reimburse all monies paid by you for those goods minus the initial delivery charge. Damage in Transit
If the goods are damaged at the time of delivery, you can refuse to sign for the parcel. The parcel will be returned to us and we will arrange for a new delivery. Our courier company usually informs us of broken consignments before they attempt delivery, and we will endeavour to let customers know as soon as possible.
Drinkswell.co.uk shall replace, free of charge, goods lost or damaged in transit, providing that the Buyer shall give notice by telephone, email or mail, confirming the nature of the loss and damage within 3 days of delivery.
