Jagermeister German bitter liqueur is the best selling German spirit in the world. Produced from a mysterious blend of 56 fruits, roots and herbs. The recipe was developed in 1935 and still remains a closely guarded secret today. Jagermeister 'hunt master' The label features a stags head with a cross because, according to legend, the drinks founder Hubertas, upon losing his wife, would go off into the woods alone to hunt and saw a magnificent stag with a floating cross between its antlers. His vision moved him to change his life and gave all his material possesions away before founding several monastries and becoming the Patron Saint of Hunters. Jagermeister should always be served ice cold, and is best enjoyed as a shot, with a beer chaser or mixed with an energy drink.
