Hoegaarden Rose is a beer that combines the freshness and pleasantness of the classic Belgian Hoegaarden wit pleasantly sweet taste and aroma of raspberries. The beer pours a cloudy pinkish-red colour, almost iced tea looking. A 2 inch pink foam head over a pink grapefruit colour body. Different but appropriate given that it is a Witbier flavored by juices. The off white head quickly receeds to a nice ring and island in the middle. The nose was very floral, big grapefruit and citrus. The taste was refreshing and berry but not overly syrupy as I was expecting. Full with raspberry sweetness. Excellent, and you get exactly what you would expect by looking at the label and knowing what Hoegaarden tastes like
