Pussers blue Rum 70cl

Pussers Blue rum is the same rum that was standard issue aboard her Majesties' ships at the time of the custom's termination in 1970. For more than 300 years the sailors of Britain's Royal Navy were issued a daily ration of rum by the ship's 'Purser'. This tradition, one of the longest and un-broken in the history of the sea, carried forward from the year 1655 to August 1st 1970.

Pussers Rum pours a deep amber colour with aromas of rubber sap, marinated vinegar, caramel taffy, and brown spice. A round entry leads to a glycerous off-dry medium-to full bodied palate with sherried brown spices, roasted Brazil nuts, cedar, and toffee. Pussers Rum finishes with a touch of shellac, exotic peppercorn, and very spicy heat, a very hearty, traditional navy rum.
