It was created in 1888 by Spyros Metaxa, by blending only the finest matured wine distillates with the selected sun soaked grapes of Attica, he created this distintive spirit giving it a unique smooth and mellow taste. The exact formula has remained a closely garded secret ever since. Metaxa Brandy is a blend of spirits made from the grapes of various Greek wines. Metaxa Five Star pours a dark, honey colour.
