Isle of Skye Hebridean Gold Oat Ale 50cl

Isle of Skye Hebridean Gold is a beer made with porridge oats? It can only be Scottish. It is an attractive orange-gold colour with a white, bubbly head. With an oaty aroma a little like an oatmeal stout, slightly sweet fruity malt and some hop flowers. On the palate it is smooth, bitter and very lightly malty, with a fruity edge to it. Hops are noticeable but not strong. Hebridean Gold Porridge Ale has an elusive biscuity heaviness that gives it more body than you'd expect - again akin to an oatmeal stout, but a much lighter roast. Quoting from the label, it is 'distinctively different'.
