Heather Ales Grozet Beer 50cl

Heather Ales Grozet Beer contains gooseberries, bog myrtle and meadowsweet (as well as the friendlier-sounding hops, malted barley and wheat). The name itself comes from the old Scots word for gooseberry. The berries are quite obvious on the nose, their aroma coming through from the creamy, lasting head. There is also a degree of malt and spiciness. In the mouth Grozet Beer is much more conventional-tasting, with a significant amount of hoppy bitterness, but mingling with more unusual flavours - gooseberry and pine are both noticeable. The distinct light fruitiness gives it a slight sweetness, but it is very well balanced and pleasantly refreshing. A very enjoyable and complex fruit beer.
