Lindemans Cassis 37.5cl

Pours a light purpleish colour with a small, pinkish head that dissipates slowly and leaves considerable lacing. Smells strongly of currants (obviously) but also has hints of pine, yeast, and grapes. The flavour is very sweet and tart, almost candy-like. Tastes strongly of currants and little else yet has hints of plum and blueberry in there too.. There is a slight bitterness to it but it's barely noticeable. Sweet upfront before it becomes sour on the end, good flavour and complex for a lambic, very sweet and good currant flavour. Mouthfeel: Light and bubbly, like champagne. A solid fruit lambic with everything you would expect. A tad sweeter and richer than normal for the style due to the dark fruits, but the sourness/tartness helps counteract some of that
