Downton Brewery Chimera IPA is a truly classic IPA. Aroma is honey pale malts, floural grassy hints at lime zest and a yeasty dustyness. The palate is initially bittering hop, pale malts with a sweetness rush the swallow gives grassy floural bitterness but balancing very. Chimera IPA has good carbonation, Alcohol is well hidden. Downton brewery Chimera packs quite a punch, as a traditional IPA should. Chimera would certainly win in a fight against Greene King IPA & Deuchars IPA's softer, less traditional alternatives. A great match with spicy foods, your favourite curry, or a peppered steak.
