St. Georges Chapter 9 Peated Malt 3 year old 70cl

This small batch peated Chapter 9 from the English Whisky Co. St. George Distillery has been aged in first-fill ex-bourbon casks for over three years, so it qualifies to be known as English Single Malt whisky. St.George's Distillery became operational in December 2006. The distillery sits in a willow field on the banks of the river Thet just off the A11 between East Harling and Roudham. The county of Norfolk produces excellent malt barley exported to distillers worldwide. Below the distillery is a giant fresh water aquifer supplying cold pure crystal clear water. Norfolk enjoys a lot milder climate than Scotland helping the spirit to mature a lot faster. The distillery produced its first 'run' on 12th December 2006 and it was with much excitement and with an enormous sense of achievement that the first barrel of 'St. George's whisky' was filled and along with the rest of the run, was put away for 3 years to mature.
