Bedrock Gin is both a classic and distinct gin crafted from the natural spring water of the Lake District and botanicals which include 150 year old oak bark of National Park heritage. The unique recipe blend captures the 'spirit of the lakes' and together with their expertise, form the bedrock of this fresh, smooth and mellow gin - a seriously enjoyable experience. Vince Wilkins and Tim Moor, from Keswick, created Bedrock gin using Lake District spring water and dried oak bark. They collected a silver award for the drink at the Spirits Business Gin Masters competition in London. Tim, an inventor and entrepreneur. They worked with a distillery in the Midlands to create their ideal gin, using botanical ingredients like juniper and citrus fruits. "We use Lakeland spring water from Ennerdale, which is quite a unique water. It's very low in ph with very little sodium or nitrates at all, which means you get a fresh, citrussy taste and smell to it. "The addition of the dried oak bark just calms it down a little bit, so it's very smooth as well.”
