Cropton's Two Pints Bitter is the Brewery's most popular beer, the name of which is intended to indicate that it is worth two of any other beer (presumably in terms of quality rather than strength). Bottle-conditioned the aroma is mainly hoppy (Challenger and Goldings), with a strong bitter element and a very subtle touch of malt. On the palate Cropton's Two Pints is very bitter and again hoppy, but without being overpowering. Malt is not a major characteristic, but it succeeds in adding enough body to the beer to make it rounded. There is also a citrus tang on the tongue. Aftertaste remains hoppy and bitter, lingering for some time. Cropton's Two Pints is an enjoyable beer, especially for hop lovers
