Croptons Scoresby Stout is a rich dark stout and takes it name from a whaling Captain who hailed from Cropton who reputedly invented the Crow's nest (enough history). Scoresby Stout is an almost black beer with a hint of red, it has a strong Coffee aroma, backed by a touch of malt. On the palate the taste is heavily roasted (almost burnt) grain presides over gentle malt sweetness and bitter hops. A wonderfully balanced roasted malt beer that's not too sweet witha bitter coffee finish, Good drinking condition.
