Burton Bridge Porter 50cl

Burton Bridge Porter is a traditional bottle-conditioned beer from Burton-upon-Trent. It is very dark brown in colour, with a loose, beige head. Aroma is incredibly sour, with a touch of dark malt present - it is vaguely reminiscent of Breton or Normandy cider; dry and sour. In the mouth, it is winey; though this doesn't detract from drinkability. There is some dry powdery notes hiding behind the tartness, almost ash-like in flavour. Add to this the red-berry-fruit notes plus a dark roast maltiness in the background and you have a pleasantly complex pint.
