Cairngorm Nessies Monster Mash Ale 50cl

Nessies Monster Mash Ale from Cairngorm Brewery is a nice dark coloured Scottish Ale, with a smooth, lacy white head, steadily fading. It has a Vanilla and sweet malt nose with Caramel notes in the aroma and flavour. Roasty malt on the palate with hints of coffee too. Nessies Monster Mash has a mature malt flavour with decent bitterness providing the required balance for the malts. With more roast in the mouth with a chocolate hint developing and a hint of hop bitterness towards the end, quite clean on the finish. Good malty taste but also quite light and refreshing unlike a lot of malty ales.
