A great age to drink Jura according to the locals. Isle of Jura 16 year old Malt, Nose: A flighty aroma, sea-inspired yet slightly citric. Fragrant, piney, a hint of the sea. Palate: Light but firm body. Lightly oily, creamy, malt background. A backbone of firm oak guarantees a dry start and middle. Finish: Softer and sweeter with waves of vanilla. Comment: A delicious and sophisticated dram with impressive depth and almost perfect weight. For an islander Jura is often thought to be something of a lightweight, but it has hidden depths
